Sunsets
I can't even begin to describe what we were seeing. A Caribbean sunset from Jamaica is truly overwhelming. Of the 3 Caribbean islands we have visited, it is incomparable. I'm sure some friends that are repeat travellers to the Caribbean and other destinations see this beauty regularly, but we were both novices to a direct West view sunset over water. We made sure we were at our suite for each of them. We never made it to the Infinity Bar, which apparently was the place to be to view them. I wasn't needing a sandy beach and unobstructed view. We preferred our balcony where the palms and distant Town of Lucea added perspective on so many levels. Our headspace was where it needed to be with tunes in the background, drinks we'd pick up from the adult bar and some fine Jamaican herb ..... well you get the picture. This was our dinner and show, only having our dessert first. We were a little surprised at how quickly the sun set as it met the horizon, but it was fabulous to watch.
I wasn't selective with the photos I chose to display. Sifting through my final purge of dozens, if it was clear and visually described the stunning beauty, it's here, in no particular order. The cameras don't do the scenes justice, but our memories remain vibrant.
I had to remind Mike to get his face off his camera and LOOK at what he was taking pictures of.
