Infinity Pool, Swim-up Bar and More
I'm loving this pool and everything associated with it. We did many things to occupy our days, but the one constant was the pool. I've never been anywhere with a swim-up bar and besides being the largest pool in Jamaica, it was the largest pool I've ever been in. It was an experience for sure. Many little areas to sit and soak up the rays. I liked that there was no chemical smells and I didn't burn with chlorine. The bartenders were a hoot. Super entertaining and they were more than happy to make you anything you wanted, and sometimes just concocted something to put a smile on your face. I have to say every bartender we encountered in the Resort were there with one thought in mind...keep you smiling, laughing and drinking!

Chris would have liked this when he was little.

The pool area has a staff of lifeguards and beach and pool activities staff that are second to none. Not hard on the eyes either. The activities staff kept the guests entertained and creatively engaged with exercise programs, games and dance lessons. They were always hands on when a single guest wanted a partner or spotter, keeping them from feeling isolated. It was all a well oiled machine.
There were 2 additional bars on either side of the pool. The Las Brisas Pool Bar, attached to the Activities Bldg. which also housed the towel exchange and the Kool Shady Bar on the opposite side of the pool that gave relief to the guests there and parents and kids at the adjacent Kid's Water Park. It was fun watching the kids ordering "virgin" drinks and then their faces as the bartenders made and served them their tropical concoctions with the same flourish they gave the adults. PRICELESS
You could get your own drinks at either bar or just sit back in your lounge and wait for a server to take your order. It wasn't hard to get used to the pampering. There was a second jerk hut across from the Las Brisas Pool Bar. It was a very popular place when the clock struck noon. They even had a fella going around the pool with a hot dog cart.
Each day there was some type of entertainment and at night the pool's lighting was a lovely backdrop for an evening show or a quiet walk under the night sky.
This was our first morning in the pool. It was also my first Bob Marley (of the day) lol
The pool staff are always planning events for guests. Different entertainment on different days. We just happened to be in the right place at the right time a few of them started up. I didn't always have my camera. I was sitting in the middle of one of the columned areas in the pool catching some rays when this band started tuning up. I watched their first number and hurried out to go get my camera. The staff also held dance lessons under the canopy and some type of pool exercises, including water bikes, each day.

The suds party was just good, clean fun. It was very windy and globs of suds made it to us at the far end of the pool.
Suds Party
We left a restaurant after dinner and walked to the pool where we saw a stage and bonfires set up around the volleyball court. I had hoped for a beach bonfire while we were there, but this was ok too. People were milling around and drinks were being served so we ordered and found a couple of lounges to sit back, relax and wait to see what was going on. We were adorned in glo-bracelets and had a good laugh as the young woman tried several times to put one on Mike's wrist. She insisted she'd get it on. He put her out of her misery and attached it through a woven band he was already wearing. LOL This wasn't the first time Mike had similar experiences here and in Negril. There was a small band on stage getting ready. We sat through a couple of songs then left to walk back to our suite. If it wasn't reggae or lacked the Caribbean flavours I was looking forward to and hoping to hear I pretty much tuned it out as background. It had been a long day and we just wanted to go chill on our balcony and enjoy the relaxing night. Another great ending to another fabulous day in Jamaica.
